I was at that screaming fast game last night where we had spectacular seats. I'll have pics up tomorrow, since I just put up the Badger pics. *There's a guy on the Reds who's name is Jolbert Cabrera. He's from Columbia. From some reason, his name is pronounced Whole-burt by the PA and on the radio. It's like the name is Spanglish. It's driving me nuts. In Spanish, it would be Whole-bear...

Is this the beginning of the end? It's so hard to stay positive and not think that this is the Brewers completely blowing it.I know, I know. It's just a couple of games, step off the ledge, etc...But when our manager continues to do things like bat Kendall and Counsell to lead off the ninth inning down by one run and we cannot at ALL rely on our bullpen, it's hard to remain optimistic and calm.We a...

Found this in a thread on BrewerFan.net Cubbies aren't so lovable after all from SI.com A sampling: There are certain things you learn when you move to the Midwest. For instance, there doesn't have to be a technical reason (like, say, construction or an accident) for a long traffic jam. No matter how hot it may get -- and a Heartland July can melt Volkswagens -- people wil...

Tensions have been high between the Brewers and Cardinals for 2 seasons now and I think most of us can't really understand why. The Cards really aren't our biggest rival and until this year, the Cards really haven't had anything to fear from us.Then you read things like this:* One more thing: I don’t understand the Brewers. I just don’t. Really, I admire that team and its talent. Doug Melvin i...

Our cable didn't get back to us til the 3rd inning and Sheets was done by the 6th, so I'll admit I couldn't stomach watching a lot of last night. I'm trying to stay super detached because I remember how heartwrenching each loss was earlier in the season when I was SO wrapped up in the team, so I can only imagine how it would go now. Over at Brewers Bar, they have no such qualms about bein...

Yesterday morning I was reading on Deadspin about how Albert Pujols was carried off the field Tuesday night and I shared the news with my co-worker, who was equally excited about what this meant for the Brewers. Sports fan that I am, I then said to him "Now, if someone would just go down on the Cubs, we'd be set."He asked who and I said maybe D. Lee and he said "No, Soriano."I'm officially very, v...

As previously mentioned, it's Jackie Robinson Day but the Brewers and Cardinals have made a little history of their own. Today is the first time in modern history in the National League that both team's pitchers are in the 8 spot of the lineup. The Gabe Kapler question has been answered and he is not in the lineup. Apparently Kapler was in the early lineup for today, but then bruised his shoulder i...
