Milwaukee and more

It’s a beautiful coupling really: Milwaukee’s ethnic diversity combined with our cherished Wisconsin fish fry. Just to get a grasp on our reverence for the almighty fish fry, know that restaurants in other parts of the country, if they offer them at all, often relegate their fish fries to Fridays during Lent, a mere 40 days, mind you.

Asian fusion with a twist

In 2007, Michael Polaski purchased two restaurants that went by the name Monsoon and featured Asian fusion cuisine. He planned to close them both and reopen the restaurants under different names. The first to reopen became Mi-Key’s, located along Cathedral Square.

Affordable haute cuisine

Brookfield is not the place where I would expect to find a good Mexican restaurant, especially one with the French-sounding name of Haute Taco. Moreover, this is a place that takes liberties like making tacos with duck breast and short ribs!

Pull up a search on the Internet for vegetarian restaurants in the Milwaukee area and you’ll find a growing list of places that offer vegetarian food—not just bread and french fries, but nutritionally balanced vegetarian meals. However, few of them commit to a 100% meatfree menu.
