Today @ Wrigley Field - 1:20 PM

Just days ago, we were shoveling snow, but today Brewer’s fans can rejoice, because winter is officially over and spring has finally arrived. It’s opening day for the Milwaukee Brewers, who kick off their season with the first of three games in Chicago against the Cubs today at 1:20 p.m. ESPN2 and the Fox Sports . . .

It’s one of the busiest parts of the sports year and yet here I am at a loss for the time to do a full-fledged, well-reasoned, thoroughly-researched, “column”-style post. As a result, here are some quick-hit thoughts on March Madness, baseball ramp-up, and the NBA home stretch: -Everyone seems really caught up in Stephen Curry being the next Danny Manning (that is, a guy who c...

Spring is fast approaching, and that means that it is once again time for the holiest of sports traditions; the age old days that help to transform young boys and girls into the men and women of tomorrow.  I refer, of course, to the ubiquitous fantasy baseball drafts that so many of us are painstakingly preparing for with the MLB season on the horizon.    Ok, so maybe ‘holiest of sports tr...

You'd think ESPN's fact-checkers would be able to look something so simple up, but apparently clubs like the Brewers don't rate high enough for that. Corey Hart isn't even mentioned in...

Last year the Brewers used 109 different batting orders. The most used lineup was used 9 times in 162 games. That's crazy.   Check it out here http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIL/2007_bo.shtml...

I was going to just post the first question in this "mailbag" from MilwaukeeBrewers.com, but all of the questions are worthy thinking points heading into Spring Training, so I'll post the whole thing...   What are the chances any of the Brewers' "fab five" take a hometown discount when the team starts re-signing them to big contracts? One has to think that if the Brewers sign Prince Fielder to a ...
