Do you see a lot of clothing in your wardrobe that are solids or separates but don't know how to create a cool outfit from them? With a little attitude change you can, for the most part, wear the same outfit to work or play. Switch a necklace or a belt and it looks like a new outfit. This may seem so simple, but perhaps our Midwestern upbringing sometimes gets in the way. You would be amazed at how many people don't feel comfortable...

On my recent trip to Miami, the resurgence of glitz, glimmer and metallics could be seen as I strolled up and down Ocean Boulevard and Collins Avenue, where the top designer boutiques can be found in SouthBeach. These trends were already seen there a few years ago but really hit the Midwest only in the last year...

Milwaukee’s first Fashion Week

Glam, glitz and gold-bedazzled socialites: It's style, it's wearable art, it's Fashion Week in Milwaukee. Fashion Week is an international gala of white tents with crisp runways brimming with media, buyers, trade pundits, celebrities and designers. It brings to mind cities like New York, Milan, Paris and London. This fall, for the first time, Milwaukee is hosting its own Fashion Week, and, boy, is it a first. It's bringing fashion to Milwaukee and forcing the world to take notice.
