According to this Brewers.com article, Ken Macha has said that he hasn't even thought about sending Manny Parra down to triple-A Nashville to try and right the ship. And while I can appreciate Macha supporting Parra, isn't part of his job to have at least thought about that option? I mean, I understand considering it and dismissing it, but this.... I don't know, isn't it kind of the manager's jon t...

At the end of last month, I posted a look over at Brew Crew Ball at how many outs the Brewers were making on the bases.During tonight's pre-game show, Davey Nelson and Telly were noting that while all things seem to be going right for the Brewers, one of the things he's no longer going to accept is outs on the bases. You know, as though this is a new concept!...

Read it here.My favorite quote: "Talking to (Brewers catcher) Jason Kendall, he said these guys just don't know how good they are, how good they can be. To me, that's just a maturing process."Thanks to Brew Crew Ball for the link...

With all the other hullaballoo, I wasn't sure where to include these, so here's a few more quick hits on the Brewers.*We declined our 2009 option on Craig Counsell. While I'll agree that Craig is clutch and he was a solid left-handed option off the bench and often a better option than Bill Hall at third, he was not worth the millions we paid him this year and the $3.4 million that option was worth...

It's on the Brewers website. Ken Macha will be the new manager.   Macha was the obvious choice from the get-go. He was all but in the jersey 5 years ago when he was offered a promotion to manager in the A's system. He stayed in Oakland and Ned Yost took the job in Milwaukee. As soon as the Brewers' job was opened beyond Dale Sveum, it was clear that Ken Macha was the number one guy on Doug ...

This is hearsay, but I'm passing it on:"Haudicourt on 540 ESPN just said on the D-List that Macha is basically all done except for the press conference. Said that both Melvin and Macha have contacted Jason Kendell. Also stated which I think is more interesting that Mike Maddox, Bill Castro, Ed Sedar have all signed contract extentions, and Dale Sveum will likely be named the bench coach. "These ar...

umblings now indicate that Bob Brenly's interview wasn't so great and that former A's manager Ken Macha seems to be the frontrunner for the Brewers job. Rumors include that he has had 2 phone calls with Melvin since his interview. Multiplesources are reporting that Macha may be the man. Of course, over the weekend Willie Randolph reportedly turned down the Nationals' man...
