OK, Ill go there. Ive been as entertained as everyone else by the revelations that MPD Chief Ed Flynn and right-wing pundit/journalism and ethics instructor/journalist Jessica McBride Bucher got too close around the time she was writing a gushing article about him for Milwaukee Magazine. Plus Winners and Jerks of the Week

Issue: The state Supreme Court decided last week that “a person selling a home can look the buyer in the eye, lie about the condition of the home and escape legal consequences,” according to Justice Ann Walsh Bradley in a scathing dissent that’s well worth a read.... Jerk: Charlie Sykes is either the hypocrite of the week or just fundamentally stupid... When the Army and Summerfest decided to pull the game, Sykes accused them of not supporting the troops.

Calculator totals up the business lobby’s cost to taxpayer

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), the state’s big business lobbying group, costs the state about $31 a second. That’s because WMC’s proposals—from slashing corporate income taxes to opposing insurance coverage of wigs for cancer patients—
