Now we're really getting somewhere with this baseball season! And not just first place, where the Brewers may have settled in for good. That's nice, but Milwaukee also has gained something every fan base...

Sundays at the ballpark don't get much better in Milwaukee. The Brewers completed a sweep of St. Louis, grabbed first place in the National League Central division and gave fans good reasons to think they'll stay there. And it happened at a pace that got the Observers on the bus home in...

Ok, so going to the media and calling another team names isnt exactly the most mature way to handle things, but despite Brandon Phillips playground tactics, well hes got a point. And the ensuing comments and brawl from the Cardinals have gone a long way to proving Phillips point. The Cardinals seem to think that they were named arbiters of all that is good and true about baseball an...

According to Adam McCalvy, "Suppan, the veteran right-hander released by the Brewers on Monday, is close to finalizing deal with the Cardinals and could join the team this weekend in Phoenix. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch first reported that the parameters of a deal were in place, and Suppan's agent, Scott Leventhal, confirmed it to MLB.com. I have now been on the phone for over an hour attempting to speak with someone in order to purchase tickets to visit Busch Stadium in St. Louis over the weekend of May 15-17. Apparently the Cards don't do single game tickets sales in house - they use Tickets.com. After having sat on hold for 15 minutes I hung up and called back to the Stadium. I was then transferred to a ticket office where they t...

Pending physical exam (Ben Sheets will tell you how important that is.)Tom H has the story on his Brewers BlogMelvin confirmed earlier in the day that a deal was in the works and his quotes to Tom H were interesting: I asked Melvin what made the Brewers stray from their previous statements that they didn't plan to sign a pitcher on this market because they'd lose financial flexibility down the roa...

You have to be happy for Brewers fans, who have waited 26 years for a return to the postseason. But you don't necessarily have to like this team, which, in the opinion of this Cardinals fan, have taunted, showboated and chest-pounded to a rather...
