The Brewers' Class A affiliate Wisconsin Timber Rattlers announced a logo change about two weeks ago and finally unveiled the new logos yesterday. Maybe it's just me, but I'm rather lukewarm on this new look. It feels a bit like they tried to copy the cleverness of the Arizona Diamondbacks but fell short. From Brewers.com" "Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun and pitcher Yovani Gallardo earned Silver Slugger awards on Thursday. Gallardo earned his first Silver Slugger by virtue of hitting four doubles, four home runs and driving in 10 while batting .254."   The Braun win comes as no surprise, but I th...

Some Brewers fans had a heart-stopping question: "Who the heck is Ron Roenicke and why isn't the flashy Bobby Valentine the new...

It's the third time in about a month that we have a rumor that the Brewers have hired a manager. This time the source is a writer for a Chicago newspaper who's last claim to fame was a Twitter meltdown on all things Minnesotan. Once again it's sources saying the hire has been made, so take it with a grain of salt. Roenicke has been with the Angels for the past 11 seasons and has never managed ...

From Journal-Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt's Twitter: "Brewers GM Doug Melvin just denied the report that Bob Brenly will be the next manger. Said he hasn't interviewed anybody. So false alarm." "Melvin had this to say about Brenly rumor: 'Unless somebody else has been doing the hiring process, that's not true.'" "'Just another rumor to squelch' Melvin said..."...

Can't link Twitter from work, but 1250 AM's Doug Russell is reporting that a source says "Bob Brenly is close to agreeing to become the next Brewers Manager."  Brenly in the past has compared Miller Park to minor league stadiums and two seasons ago openly advocated a pitcher throwing at Ryan Braun. W hen one of Macha's main problems was his inability to be close to Braun and Fielder, I'm thinki...
