My mother was recently diagnosed with Copper Toxicity Syndrome.  Shortly after, I was diagnosed with the same.  As we undergo detox and research the subject, we find that so many conditions could have a root cause of copper toxicity.  Some more common ailments that could be helped by detoxing copper are: Autism, depression, migraines, PMS, allergies, insomnia, ADHD and more.   I wanted to s...

Polonez ranks with Milwaukee’s best

For many years Polonez was a charming anachronism, a restaurant housed in a warren of little rooms that gave dining there the feel of a casual get-together in someone’s timeworn South Side flat. After leaving its South Sixth Street home near St. Josaphat’s Basilica, Polonez moved to a more conventional venue at...

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a? Listen, I’ve got to make short work of this essay here since there’s a couple, three reasons why I figure this would be a gosh darn good time for a guy like me to take a moment to relax rather than whip myself into some kind of lathered-up word frenzy.

Plus Winners and Jerks of the Week

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker may be eyeing higher office, but if he wants to run on his record of being fiscally responsible, he’s got some explaining to do. Not only will the county have a budget shortfall of more than $30 million in the coming year, but his plans to fund mass transit will do nothing to fix the problem. Everyone knows that Milwaukee’s bus system is in trouble, and Walker’s decision to cut routes and raise fares hasn’t helped the bottom line. His steady opposition of the Kenosha- Racine-Milwaukee rail line has stymied mass transit in the region.

Given the rising costs of synthetic fertilizers and organic foods, the collection of bird droppings (for use as organic fertilizer) has intensified on 20 islands off the coast of Peru, where 12-inch-thick seabird guano coats the land. In the 19th century, China fought with Peru on the high seas for the right to mine the guano...
