Ken, we hardly knew ye. The Macha managerial era in Brewers history ended after two seasons when the team finished at 77-85, three games worse than the year before. The quiet, professorial Macha had nothing but winning seasons and two playoffs in four years with Oakland, but things...

The Brewers announced that ticket prices will not increase for the 2011 season. Prices are frozen at 2010 levels.   Check out the seating chart here for prices. After welcoming 3,000,000 fans in 2009, the Brewers saw a slight drop to 2.77 million fans in 2010....

From Journal-Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt's Twitter: "Brewers GM Doug Melvin just denied the report that Bob Brenly will be the next manger. Said he hasn't interviewed anybody. So false alarm." "Melvin had this to say about Brenly rumor: 'Unless somebody else has been doing the hiring process, that's not true.'" "'Just another rumor to squelch' Melvin said..."...

I have always found myself very apathetic about Macha. I could never muster the energy to hate him, as I did Yost. And he never struck me as remotely likable. He never seemed to warrant strong emotions. While you could always count on Yost for a good rant at an ump, it was an event is Ken left the dugout. Yost was combative with reporters while Macha often seemed resigned. Yost was half a step fr...

Flu-like symptoms took Prince Fielder out of today's lineup and left him back at the hotel as his streak of 327 consecutive starts - the most by any active player - comes to an end....

With the Brewers taking on the first-place Reds this week it’s been a good time to take stock of the trade the two teams made a few weeks ago. Looking for more power, the Reds traded for Jim Edmonds. The Brewers got Chris Dickerson in return. Edmonds had seen a lot of time in the field for the Brewers then we would have expected from a fourth outfielder. The trade to a team with post-season h...

I was shocked earlier in the week reading the comments over at JSOnline.com on the stories about the Bug Selig statue that was unveiled in front of Miller Park. I was shocked to learn of the vitriol that so many seem to carry for him. I was in high school when the surge to build Miller Park was happening and was admittedly blissfully unaware at the time. I wasnt yet a baseball fan and I didn...

Ok, so going to the media and calling another team names isnt exactly the most mature way to handle things, but despite Brandon Phillips playground tactics, well hes got a point. And the ensuing comments and brawl from the Cardinals have gone a long way to proving Phillips point. The Cardinals seem to think that they were named arbiters of all that is good and true about baseball an...
