Radio talker's speech distills conservatism to its essence

In his "first ever address to the nation" delivered to the Conservative Political Action Committee last Saturday, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh electrified attendees of the conference by distilling conservative ideals down to their essence- the freedom of every American to achieve greatness through individual effort, unencumbered by "onerous taxes, regulations, and too much government".Not surprisingly, liberal pundits and commentators heard a speech that was, according to CNN commentator Bill Schneider, "Angry, mocking, bullying, harsh, and full of contempt."

Progressives can't dismiss his influence

I first started listening to the Rush Limbaugh program during the Clinton Administration, or as Rush liked to call it “America Held Hostage.”  Regardless of what you may think of his political views, you must admit that the guy can be funny and charismatic in a way that Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity are not.

This is the view that Rahm Emanuel, Barack Obama's resident pit bull and chief of staff, takes of the current economic downturn. President Obama has certainly taken this advice to heart, crafting an "economic stimulus package" that incorporates 40-plus years of unfulfilled Democratic Christmas list items. Is using an economic...

Obama critics advocate the same policies that created this disaster

Albert Einstein realized that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Clearly, the conservative critics of President Barack Obama’s stimulus plan are no Einsteins. Republicans continue to argue for ex- President-Bush-type tax cuts—tax cuts for the wealthy.

I’m Art Kumbalek and man oh manischewitz what a world, ain’a? So listen, right now I’m paying some attention to the presidential inauguration hoopla on TV ’cause it’s my duty as a responsible journalist to know what’s up at all times, and besides what else is there to watch?
