Plus: Danny White’s smoke-out

Since 2003, Danny White and his crew have been slumming it. With a few lessons in debauchery from creative cohorts Eddie Leader and Rucky (Dan Rucker), the U.K.-based trio Slum Science has been crafting a catalog of funky house tracks that reek of smoke, booze and ingenuity. Tonight @ the Rave - 7:00 PM

These are tough times for many alternative-metal bands—blame those emo kids— but the three bands sharing a 7 p.m. bill at the Rave are doing more than all right for themselves. Tonight @ the Rave - 8:00 PM

After inauspicious beginnings as a soft-alternative band that regularly contributed their music to the sci-fi program “Smallville,” the trio Lifehouse broke through to the masses big time in 2005 with the inescapable mega-hit ballad “You and Me.” Lifehouse headlines an 8 p.m. show at the Rave’s Eagles Club, with . . .

Tonight @ the Rave - 5:00 PM

While the Warped Tour continues to expand, harboring bands across genres, the Taste of Chaos Tour, a newer creation from Warped Tour impresario Kevin Lyman, has kept its focus tight, inviting only bands on the harder end of the alternative rock and emo-core spectrum. Although this year’s tour, which . . .
