I refuse to subject myself to the hours of coverage that have already been on tv, much less the hours yet to come on this subject, so I'm just posting the info and if you want more, turn on the news. Tonight is the Family Night intra-squad scrimmage, so there' s nothing but Packers coverage for the next 12 hours or so! Unbelievable and Ridiculous! Update: Favre to compete for starting job ...

A quick news search didn't reveal any confirmation, but the local radio just announced that Favre is prepared to take the $20 million buyout/marketing deal the Packers are offering. The best I could find was this from a Canadian (?!) news source: A potential marketing contract could be the ideal solution for everyone involved in what's become a very public dispute between reti...

The Fairly Detached Observers

While the Brewers were rolling past the Cardinals and taking aim at the Cubs, the Observers convened at the Ball Park—a South Side sports bar, not the place with the sliding roof. Frank: Breaking news, Artie! I’ve discovered that the stars are aligned for the Brewers...

I admit when I'm wrong and it must be said that Favre handled the Hall of Fame induction better than I had anticipated. I had imagined it going differently and was surprised that he went out the side door. That being said, of course Favre became the main topic of conversation. I had SportsCenter on to see Brewers highlights and caught interviews with Gilbert Brown and LeRoy Butler and bot...

From ESPN.com: What would NFL teams trade the Green Bay Packers for Brett Favre? The Packers have asked multiple teams what they would be willing to offer for their team icon and former NFL MVP, the NFL Network reported -- a state of affairs once unthinkable in Green Bay. While it is not known how many teams the Packers have contacted about Favre, they have not limited their inquirie...

The Fairly Detached Observers

thinking is, “What if we bring Brett back, Rodgers holds the clipboard another year, and then Brett says next year, ‘OK, now I’m really done,’ and Rodgers becomes a free agent and says, ‘I’m gone, too’?”.

OK, ever since this "story" broke a few weeks ago, I have felt very lonely over here on the "what an ass" train. It's nice to see that some people have finally realized that "the gunslinger" and "Green Bay's hero" is acting like a complete and utter douche. I am (and have been) SO over Brett Favre for about 6 months now. The way his retirement was treated was an abomination of journalism. Here in ...
