Local farmers help to feed the hungry
Anew movement is emerging in southeastern Wisconsin that has the potential to alter the way we care for those who struggle to feed themselves every day. The food justice movement—made up of newly intertwining strands of social justice activists, urban farmers and gardeners, “buy local” advocates and “foodies” who live to eat—is raising awareness of our local food system’s deficiencies and strengths.
