The Brewers' series at the Mets' new CitiField have brought up two major design flaws. The first is that the visitor's bullpen has little-to-no view of the playing field. According to reliever Todd Coffey, they can see a bit of outfield and second base, but that's about it. And Coffey's not shy about his opinion on the bullpen: "It's horrible. It's awful. It's the worst bullpen I've ever been in.....

Jim Cryns on Sports

So this is what a baseball playoff atmosphere feels like in Milwaukee. I was around for the last one, but at that time I was much thinner, had more hair, less intelligence. Miller Park was an exciting place to be last night. The fans armed with their Brewers towels, waved them vigorously from the early innings. When CC Sabathia was in a jam, they waved the towels again and he magically got out of the inning. When a clutch hit was required, the towels again...

Damn it's fun to be a fan this week! Also, a poster over at Brewerfan.net had this to say:           Bold prediction: we will look back on this the same way we look back on Ned Yost's home run against Boston in 1982.Except, you know, Prince doesn't suck at baseball and we won't hate him for being a crappy manager 26 years from now.            Hilarious!!Go watch the walk-off grea...

The Cubs still haven't clinched home-field advantage, so they'll actually be playing their full squad for these upcoming 4 games at Shea. We're just 1 1/2 games back. Three games against Pitt at home to start off should do us well. Tonight's pitcher, Karstens, is just 2-6 and he's facing robot Dave Bush (or, the guy who took over Dave Bush's body and is far out-punting the coverage). Karsten's has ...

But I'm also so close to my first baseball playoffs that I can taste it.Therefore, it's with a happy heart that I report that Mets infielder Damion Easley is out for at least a week with and injured quad. Early reports are saying that he's at least a week from even being able to pinch hit. Easley's possible replacements are a rookie an...

If the season ended today, the Brewers and Mets would be meeting each other. Of course, if yesterday's game is an indication, it could be a rough series.Tonight's starting pitcher for the Mets is their top prospect. Welcome to the bigs kid. Don't F it up!Mets: In the absence of John Maine, who hit the disabled list last week with a bone spur in his right shoulder, the Mets will turn to thei...
