Milwaukee’s annual LGBT pride event is in its 27th year, and still growing, attracting more than 30,000 people a year. The all-volunteer festival takes over the Summerfest grounds for three days in early June, and features primarily music and performance acts, in addition to informative seminars. Headliners this year include Lisa Lamanelli and rapper Big Freedia, a leading figure in the bounce subgenre. The Dance Pavilion, featuring local and national DJs, has also become a cornerstone of the festival. The lineup includes DJ Grind and Reid Stefan, as well as several local acts.
