Free Open-Mic Concerts
Open Mic on M.I.K.E. brings local artists to the stage for nine family-friendly and free open-mic concerts on the Festival Green at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, every Thursday, June 19–August 14, from 5–7:30 p.m.
Performances take place on the M.I.K.E. stage, located at the corner of Seventh Street and Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Sheboygan, rain or shine. When in a closed position, M.I.K.E. functions as a digital recording studio. On concert nights, M.I.K.E. opens like a clamshell to reveal a performance stage.
Seating is not provided, so bring a blanket or chair. The ARTcafe and on-site food trucks offer the opportunity to skip cooking and enjoy dinner during the show. A cash bar will be available; no alcohol carry-ins allowed.
Performers wishing to enter the Arts Center’s Best Original Song contest can do so at Open Mic on M.I.K.E. events through August 7. The winner will be featured at the August 21 Best of Summer concert.
Additional information about M.I.K.E. events, the song contest, and other Arts Center activities is available at jmkac.org or by calling 920-458-6144.
