Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 60th Anniversary Gala: Something Unexpected! May 10
Join Milwaukee Repertory Theater for an exciting, unique celebration of 60 years of world-class theater at The Rep‚Äôs 2014 Gala Celebration, themed ‚ÄúSomething Unexpected!,‚ÄĚ on Saturday, May 10 at 5:30pm.
The Rep packs all of the theatricality, thrills, and tremendous quality of its main stage productions into its annual Gala event. The ‚ÄúSomething Unexpected!‚ÄĚ Gala, co-chaired by Carol Manegold and Frank Krejci, will feature a number of unusual surprises and one-of-a-kind events, as The Rep invigorates many Gala traditions as it looks back on its six-decade contribution to Milwaukee‚Äôs culture and economy.
Fun-filled, live entertainment highlighting the impressive breadth and impact of The Rep‚Äôs 60-year history and celebrating the exciting future of the company will feature familiar faces and delightful surprises. Sip a cocktail while using hand-held bidding devices to stake your claim to a wide variety of packages, one-of-a-kind experiences, and other special items from The Rep‚Äôs 2013/14 Season during the live and silent auctions, which are generously sponsored by long-time corporate partners Quarles & Brady LLP and We Energies Foundation. A sit-down dinner will prove to be a feast for both the eyes and taste buds, and the evening will conclude with an ‚Äėafter-party‚Äô of dancing and desserts ‚Äď and a few more surprises!
As its largest fundraiser of the year, Gala proceeds benefit the full scope of The Rep‚Äôs Artistic, Educational/Outreach, and Access programming. These initiatives allow The Rep to bring top-quality theater to over 20,000 students in southeastern Wisconsin, as well as audio-described and captioned performances to Rep patrons. And a special ‚Äėraise the paddle‚Äô appeal will highlight the company‚Äôs long-standing, industry-leading, and internationally-recognized professional internship program for emerging artists. The Milwaukee community‚Äôs generous and essential support allows The Rep to continue to make this positive impact both in Wisconsin and nationally.
Individual tickets to The Rep’s 2014 Gala are $300. Individual tables of ten are available starting at $3,000, and corporate tables of ten are available for $6,000.
