Racine Theatre Guild presents: The Miracle Worker
From April 4th through the 13th, the Racine Theatre Guild is performing a familiar and award-winning play based on the true story of Helen Keller’s early life. Before she became one of the most widely admired people of the 20th century, Helen Keller was a wild and angry child. Her miraculous transformation was largely due to the efforts of her teacher, Annie Sullivan. See “The Miracle Worker” at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Avenue (Highway 38) in Racine.
Performances take place on two weekends only, April 4-13. On each weekend there are shows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. In addition, there are Saturday matinees at 2 p.m. on April 5 (followed by a free talkback with cast and crew) and at 4 p.m. on April 12. Weekday performances are being given for school groups, as well. This play has been supported by a grant from SC Johnson.
Ticket prices are $17 for adults, $15 for seniors (62 and older), and $12 for students (21 and younger). Further discounts are offered to subscribers and groups of 12 or more. The box office is open from 12 to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 90 minutes prior to each curtain time through intermission. For reservations or information, call 262-633-4218. Tickets may be ordered online at www.racinetheatre.org; however, discounts and coupons cannot be applied to online orders.
