Ecuadorian artist Antuco Chicaiza’s paintings deal with a variety of subjects, including the challenges and rewards of family, cultural heritage, and social and political issues. In Que Vida, Chicaiza’s colorful pieces frequently incorporate symbols, words, and abstractions of figures and faces, creating dense, evocative compositions. The opening reception for Que Vida will take place in the Latino Arts Gallery on Friday, December 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The exhibition will be on display through February 7, 2014.

Exhibitions in the Latino Arts Gallery are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for a suggested donation of $1.

For additional information about performances and exhibitions in the Latino Arts Auditorium and Gallery, call (414) 384-3100 or visit www.latinoartsinc.org
