Chi-town electronica trio Future Rock is almost as well known for their innovative remixes of classic Daft Punk and Death From Above 1979 tracks as for their original song. Since forming in 2004, the band performed for five years straight in Chicago's hipster-laden Wicker Park Fest, turning the neighborhood festival into a dance floor. Future Rock have evolved past the typical laptop-only stage setup that clutters the electronic music scene; their live setup now includes drums, keyboards and bass in addition to samples and trance-inducing loops. That live-band setup was well captured on their latest EP, One Day, which they released as a free download.
