As part of his theater’s “Year of Fear” lineup of horror productions, the Alchemist Theatre’s Aaron Kopec returns to a story he’s adapted several times before: Bram Stroker’s Dracula. For this latest production, he’s stripped the classic story down to its core, and livened it up with some inspired casting decisions. Lix Whitford returns to the role of Lucy; the charismatic Randall T. Anderson takes on the role of Jonathan Harker; and, in an interesting bit of gender reversal, Beth Lewinski will take a stab at playing the heroic Dr. Van Helsing. The production runs through March 16.
