MAM After Dark: Carnival
5 p.m.-midnight
As part of its efforts to reach young Milwaukeeans—or at least a relatively younger crowd than art museums typically attract—the Milwaukee Art Museum hosts a monthly after-hours party, each centered on a different theme. The “Carnival” theme at this month’s MAM After Dark gathering lends itself to some particularly spectacular entertainment. The event will feature roaming magicians and stuntmen from the Dead Man’s Carnival troupe, a caricaturist, specialty drink tastings, temporary tattoos and music from 88Nine Radio Milwaukee’s Marcus Doucette. And, of course, guests can check out some art, too. The museum’s collection galleries will be open for browsing.
