Indie-rockers Yo La Tengo have been making excellent records for so long that it shouldn’t be a surprise they’ve made another. Their latest is this year’s Fade, which they recorded with Chicago producer John McEntire, of The Sea and Cake and Tortoise. It’s the band’s shortest album in over a decade, and also one of their prettiest,a hazy, gentle pop record that, like all of the band’s best work, slowly reveals itself over time.
