Fourth-generation king of cake Buddy Valastro brings a lot to the confectioner’s table. Valastro and his family-owned and -operated Carlo’s Bakery produces what many say are the best-tasting wedding cakes, specialty cakes and baked goods in the country. Valastro has received national recognition from outlets including “The Today Show” and the Food Network, but he’s best known as the star of TLC’s “The Cake Boss,” which documents some of the biggest and most ambitiously decorated cakes he creates with the help of his loving but quarrelsome family.
