Who doesn’t love a good story? At Ex Fabula’s storytelling events, volunteers are randomly chosen from the audience to share brief, true stories without using notes, then the audience crowns their favorite at the end of the night. Ex Fabula’s super-sized Spectacular events, however, deviate from that formula a bit with a handpicked lineup of storytellers who are given a little extra time to tell new stories. Framed around the loose theme “Game On,” this latest Spectacular kicks off Ex Fabula’s fourth season and will feature a mix of Milwaukee regulars as well as participants from Ex Fabula’s recent competitions at Sheboygan’s John Michael Kohler Arts Center.
