Spooky Skies

Oct 23 - Oct 31

The Halloween sky is more than just a backdrop for wicked witches and a big yellow moon. Outer space is home to some fantastic objects far more terrible than the usual monsters, goblins and ghosts of the season. What does a werewolf have on an inescapable Black Hole, a noxious, deadly planet like Venus or a crushing, dangerous supernova?

This Halloween, come to the Daniel M. Soref Planetarium to witness spine chilling tricks and treats of Spooky Skies! Crafted and created by Planetarium Director Bob Bonadurer, Spooky Skies takes viewers back to medieval Ireland to explore the roots of the Halloween holiday, then into the heavens to draw parallels between some celestial objects and famous monsters.

Explore the Skies Over Milwaukeeas part of each Planetarium show. This live tour of the current night sky will show you where to spot the Moon, planets, constellations and more! Purchase tickets over the phone by calling (414) 319-4629 or buy them online.
