This is so Democratic Party.  They couldn't give the ignorant, dim-witted electorate, the slack-jawed public the complete and final decision on the nominee.  My goodness, they may nominate some grass-roots populist freak, like Barack Obama.  What would the ignorant masses want to decide for themselves next - how to spend their own money, or how to run their own businesses?  Apparently, DEMOCRATIC Party is just a moniker...
