Though they’re clearly influenced by the Jesus Lizard and other seminal acts from Touch and Go’s back catalog, Milwaukee’s Pigs on Ice play their tightly wound punk and post-punk with a theatrical flamboyance that most of their no-frills muses eschewed. Using low-key, loosely themed costumes, the band aims to create a visual complement to their edgy rock ’n’ roll. This attention to detail and the subsequent word-of-mouth has helped them rise to the top of Milwaukee’s crowded basement scene. They top a 7 p.m. show at The Vault tonight, along with Possible Fathers and Bird Sounds.

Interestingly, Feingold and McCain helped to promote situations like this one. While corporations (entities that pay payroll, property and income taxes, employ citizens, and generally improve our quality of life) were strictly limited as to what they could do to support a candidate, weatlhy individuals such as Wall, Herb Kohl, Mark Neumann, and George Soros can spend everyone else out of an election, thus blocking other better candidates from entering the fray. Thanks, Mr. Feingold- you're a real statesman!

Ms. Kaiser, your "reporting" is shameful. You must know, since you work for Lou Fortis, that depreciation is not "tax dodging" or a loophole- it is the law. And it is a law Democrat hypocrites love. Wall depreciates a development project against his earnings, then starts a new project when the depreciation on the first runs out. But I don't want to confuse you. I'll just ask how you feel about Tim Geithner and Charles Wrangel? Their tax "dodging" was actually against the law, and yet there they sit on Capitol Hill. And who do you think does the work on Wall's projects? Union subcontractors, that's who. Why do you hate da unions, Ms. Kaiser? All of that being said, Wall is a weak candidate. Using the tax code to avoid (not evade) taxes gives Russ Feingold an easy tagline- "Millionaire who didn't pay taxes..." And this tagline will come from a guy who has been useless in Congress, and whose life and finances are a train wreck (high speed rail, of course). Does expressmilwaukee pay more taxes than it owes? If not, come out from under your rock, Ms. Kaiser, and defend your position.
