The folks at Hawthorn Glen, a 20-acre-plus nature center at 1130 N. 60th St., don't have much time for ghosts and spooks. They'll be using their two-night Halloween program to dress up as animals like raccoons and teach kids about nature and green living. What the program lacks in haunts, though, it makes up for in seasonal spirit: After the program, there will be Halloween cartoons, autumnal crafts and snacks. The program is on Friday October 17 and Saturday October 18, check out their website for more information or to register.
