Danny Rivera, dubbed the “National Voice of Puerto Rico,” teams up with his long-time collaborator, virtuosic tresero Nelson Gonzalez, for this collection of classic boleros—Latin ballads comprised of catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. The duo is joined by a number of Latino music luminaries (including Chucho Valdés, the late master percussionist Manny Oquendo, even Miami Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Federico Britos), but it’s mostly Rivera and González’s show. The songs are presented in minimalist arrangements, resulting in a program that’s perfect for winding down after a long evening.

The Milwaukee Common Council is debating a proposal that would reduce the municipal fine for possessing a small amount of marijuana from $250-$500 per violation to no more than $50 per violation. Do you support this change?
