As prominent ambassadors of Puerto Rican culture, the band Plena Libre has played everywhere from the Lincoln Center to Morocco. Corazon continues along their familiar groove with music generically categorized as salsa but encompassing several Latin sounds from their home island and around the Caribbean. Even without fluency in Spanish, their lyrics are evidently full of local pride, yet the words matter less than the lively rhythms.
