Cento
I must still uncloud my earthly duties
and the soldiers from the bodies.
On the table, two fragile
footprints of pollen
offering the gifts locked inside it.
Poor humanity is camping on train station floors;
I must close my eyes to take it in:
a melancholy aria about life and death
say why should love live
Toni Ronstadt recently moved to Milwaukee from her native San Diego. Having spent several summers during the 1960's with her grandparents here, she says she has returned to claim her aesthetic roots.
