humanity prevails, if we keep
clean our home. i'm less happy
when crushed into others' thoughts
even in silent trains i am afraid.
i may drink the whole glass & bottle
mix it with milligrams of serotonin,
stains on weak knees provide nothing
but anxiety never washes itself
on dying people beauty fades
wrinkles give a way.
in seasonable darkness, i fall
in love with silent
films and thoughts- your bones rush in.

Anna Borchert is a twenty one year old girl living in an apartment in a city, making music and drinking coffee at all the wrong times.
