Shall I compare you to
something that doesn't love
so much dependance on
a fly buzz?

Who's there, anyway?
A mouth, a way of happening?

correction, historians--

left blanks in their writings.

Roger Mitchell's's new and selected poems, Lemon Peeled the Moment Before, came out in 2008. He's poetry editor of the ezine, Hamilton Stone Review, and has just finished editing an edition of Jean Garrigue's early writings.
