Filmmaker Karl Kels stops by the UWM Union Theatre tonight for a free, 7 p.m. screening of several of his films as part of a program called “Zoopraxia: The Films of Karl Kels.” For his documentaries, Kels sets his camera on captive animals, capturing both stark, black and white images of daily life in a zoo and a warmer portrait of the animals that inhabit these zoos.
